OMZ Special Steels rationalization proposals enter the rating of the best rationalization proposals in Russian industry

Rationalization proposals of OMZ Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, entered the rating of Upravlenie Proizvodstvom newswire called “100 best rationalization proposals in Russian industry – 2012”.

Rationalization proposal of OMZ Special Steels called “Rational usage of furnace charge” was recognized as one of the best innovations in Russia on the criteria of “compliance with international standards of rationalization”, “qualitative description and design”, “speed and ease of implementation” and “economic impact of implementation”. Rationalization proposal called “Usage of MKRL belt instead of the fire-proof cord when casting ingots weighing up to 120 tons”, presented by OMZ-Special Steels was recognized as one of the best innovations of Russia's proposals in the criteria of “modernization”, “technology change”, “re-engineering” and “economic effect from the introduction”.

The “100 best rationalization proposals in Russian industry – 2012” rating has been held in Russia for the first time and has become the innovative one for Russian production companies. The rating features both rationalization and modernization proposals and re-engineering. Economic effect has become the main criteria for choosing rationalization proposals.
